Bellini Yu: Sharing and evaluation about a social participatory artist-in-residence project

Artists Co-op has invited Bellini Yu to share about her recent social participatory artist-in-residence project. Taking place at Qijin District in Kaohsiung City, her project took on a theme about feasting which was meant to be a conversation between the artist and Qijin’s hidden food culture.

Bellini earned a Bachelor in Sociology at Lingnan University in Hong Kong in 2007 and began to promote art inclusivity after graduation.  After undertaking another Fine Art degree in 2011, she started to develop creative projects by taking minority groups in society as inspirations.  In 2013 and 2014, she also held a solo exhibition and participated as an artist-in-residence for Lingnan University’s Department of Visual Studies respectively.
