About the Event

Title Artists Co-op Sustainability Art Talk by Eric Niebuhr: Ebb and Flow About Founded in 2016, Artists Co-op is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting artists in their creative endeavours. Through providing working space and facilities, we sought to facilitate artists with art creation and help Hong Kong fully unleash her creative potentials. Summary Artists Co-op also strives to encourage the creation and promotion of sustainability art. In the coming months, we will be organizing a series of talk which our artists-in-residence will share their experiences in their sustainability art creations. We are pleased to have Eric Niebuhr to talk about his site-specific artwork inspired by the historical environment of Sha Lek Corner in April. Date: 5 April 2021 (Easter Monday)

Time: 14:30-16:30

Venue: Zoom / Sha Lek Corner, 38 Sha Tin Wai Road, Sha Tin * Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The talk will be conducted in English.

Guest speaker Eric is an American-Australian painter based in Hong Kong since 2012, who earned his MFA at Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA.  He is well acclaimed for his paintings that reflect his keen observation, insight, and sensitivity towards Hong Kong's local culture.  His paintings have been shown in Hong Kong and internationally, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and the Jewish Museum in San Francisco.
